What you'll do:

• Be part of a large program supporting the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services where you will develop processes and procedures to guide the entire project management lifecycle, from initiation to completion.
• Forecast resource requirements, balancing available capacity with project needs.
• Act as the bridge between project managers and key stakeholders.
• Establish consistency in project management practices, and provide guidance, oversight and tools to project managers and team members.
• Monitor progress against plans and schedules, identifying and resolving problems, and updating project plans as needed.
• Oversee and manage project communication efforts, including writing and disseminating project communications, and conducting regular project status calls.
• Collaborate with team leaders and project managers on project-related initiatives, meeting regularly to review project status and project issues, and work toward resolution.

What we'd like you to have:

• Bachelor’s degree and at least 10 years of experience in a PMO role.
• Thorough understanding of project management best practices.
• Experience leading the implementation of large-scale projects.
• Agile certification (i.e., PMI-ACP, Certified Scrum Master, Certified Product Owner).
• Project Management Professional (PMP) certification.
• Experience with one or more different agile methodologies, including Scrum, Lean, or SAFe.
• Experience managing matrixed teams.
• Strong leadership, conflict management and negotiation skills.
