Erik Birkeland

Erik Birkeland is an experienced professional in the field of automation and enterprise systems, currently serving as the Director of Enterprise Systems Factory Automation at Skyworks Solutions, Inc. since July 2021. In this role, Erik directs the strategic roadmap for automation, focusing on smart factory initiatives. Prior to this position, Erik held multiple key roles at Analog Devices/Linear Technology, including Fab Automation Manager, where management of operations and tactical execution of automation systems took place. Erik's career also includes significant contributions at Maxim Integrated, where leadership of an automation team and strategic execution of process control were prominent, as well as a foundational role at Tektronix, designing systems to enhance manufacturing efficiency. Erik holds a Bachelor's degree in Applied Mathematics, Computer Science, and Statistics from Oregon State University, and further education from Portland State University.
