Allison Clayton

Allison Clayton is currently the Director of Security Engineering at Slack. Allison was previously employed at The Walt Disney Company from May 2014 until May 2017, where they served as an Information Security Principal. In this role, Allison led the Anomaly Detection and Incident Response teams to continued success while partnering across a federated enterprise to share data and best practices for continuous improvement.

Allison has also worked for the United States Department of Defense from May 2002 until May 2014, where they held positions such as Technical Security Advisor to US European Command, Foreign Partnerships Liaison, and Defensive Computing Researcher. Allison's focus has always been on defense of national security systems through prioritization of efforts based on threats and critical assets. Allison is a experienced program builder, partner, and leader.

Allison's professional journey began with an internship in January 1999 at Boston Scientific in the Information Systems department.

Allison Clayton completed the Credential of Readiness (CORe) program from Harvard Business School Online in the field of business. Allison went on to earn their Master of Science (MS) degree in computer science from the University of Massachusetts Amherst. Allison also holds a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in computer science and mathematics from Wellesley College. Allison is certified by (ISC)² as a Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) and by GIAC as a GIAC Certified Forensic Analyst (GCFA).
