Chris Freyer

Chris Freyer has extensive work experience in software engineering and development roles. Chris started their career at Barnett Technologies as a C++ programmer for a commercial banking application. Chris then worked as a software developer at Bank of America, where they helped develop an ASP-based web application. After that, they joined Encore Development as a senior software engineer, working on web application projects for various clients. Chris later worked at Blue Cross Blue Shield Florida as a software consultant, focusing on the data tier of a benefits enrollment application. Chris then served as a software development manager at Convergys HR Management, responsible for multiple software projects. Chris continued performing similar work at NorthgateArinso after the company acquired Convergys' HR management division. Chris also worked at Taleo as a senior software developer, writing software to extend Taleo's reach in the Talent Management space. Chris then joined Amazon.com as a software development engineer, contributing to the core web services of Amazon's SOA architecture. Chris later worked at Marchex as a software development engineer, where they developed call processing solutions using various technologies. Currently, they are working at Slalom Build as a director of software engineering, focusing on designing on-premise and cloud-based solutions and improving clients' architecture and engineering practices.

Chris Freyer earned a Masters degree in Computer Science & Engineering from the University of North Florida from 1996 to 2000. Prior to that, they obtained a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration with a focus on Marketing from Auburn University between 1985 and 1989. In addition to their formal education, Chris has also obtained certifications in various areas, including AWS Partner Accreditation and IoT Foundations.
