Mahdi Silavi

Mahdi Silavi is an accomplished technology leader with extensive experience in data engineering and cloud solutions. Currently serving as the Director and Databricks CoE Lead for Canada at Slalom since October 2025, Mahdi previously held the position of Director of Data Engineering at Avanade from June 2022 to November 2025. Mahdi’s background includes significant roles as Vice President and Senior Cloud Architect at Newcomp Analytics, where expertise in designing scalable cloud solutions and participating in project life cycles was demonstrated. With a history of serving as Solutions Architect at BDO Canada and developing applications for various sectors, Mahdi began the career as a Solution Architect and Senior .Net Developer at Hoosh Afza after earning a Master's and Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering from Shahid Chamran University.
