Umer Shahid's work experience begins with their role as an Assistant Product Manager - Tech at SlashNext from June 2022. In this position, they managed a team, collaborated with key stakeholders to define the product roadmap, oversaw execution and user acceptance testing, and collaborated on a new security product resulting in a 50% reduction in spam complaints from customers.

Prior to that, Umer worked at Dubizzle Group as an Associate Manager (Product/Project) from June 2020 to May 2022. In this hybrid role, they mentored and guided staff, acted as a scrum master for global clients, and collaborated with management and technical teams in software development.

Umer's work experience started as a Project Coordinator at Techverx from March 2018 to June 2020.

Umer Shahid completed their Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Information Technology from the University of the Punjab, starting in 2014 and graduating in 2018. Umer then pursued a Master's degree in Research In Computer and System Engineering from Technische Universität Ilmenau, starting in 2022 and is currently enrolled in the program.

In addition to their formal education, Umer Shahid has obtained multiple certifications. In September 2020, they obtained the Scrum Fundamentals Certified (SFC) certification from CertiProf. In October 2022, they completed the certifications "Automate tasks and processes with Jira," "Change Leadership: Developing Strategic Gap Analysis in Miro," and "How to use roadmaps in Jira," all from Coursera. In March 2023, they obtained the "Google Project Management: Professional Certificate" from Google, and in May 2023, they received the "Project Management" certification from TestDome.
