Arun Kumar

Arun Kumar is a Design Release Engineer with extensive experience in the automotive industry, currently employed at Slate since April 2024, focusing on the design and release of side closures. Prior roles include serving as a Senior Mechanical Engineer and Closures Design Release Engineer at Rivian from March 2020 to April 2024, and as a Senior Design Engineer at Magna International from September 2017 to March 2020. Arun began their career at Honda R&D Americas, Inc. as a Design Engineer for BIW parts from January 2016 to August 2017, following a role at Mercedes-Benz Research and Development India where responsibilities included the design and development of powertrain parts. Additional experience includes working as a Design Engineer for Energy at Semcon, specializing in steam turbines, and a brief stint at BEML LTD. Arun holds a Bachelor of Engineering in Mechanical Engineering from Visvesvaraya Technological University, completed in 2010.
