Stephen Cortiaus

Stephen Cortiaus is a Patent Attorney at Slater Matsil, LLP, where responsibilities include the preparation and prosecution of US patent applications and coordinating foreign patent applications since June 2014. Prior experience includes roles as a Product Engineer at Think Environmental from October 2011 to June 2014, where Stephen developed desktop and cloud computing applications and designed intrinsically-safe Bluetooth devices for the oil and gas industry, and as a Firmware Engineer at Hewlett Packard Enterprise from September 2010 to October 2011, developing a lights-out management platform for enterprise products. Stephen also supported desktop users and deployed desktops and servers at Think Environmental from August 2004 to August 2010. Stephen holds a Juris Doctor degree from SMU Dedman School of Law, earned between 2012 and 2015, and a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from the University of Houston, obtained from 2007 to 2010.
