Isaac Stoner is a seasoned professional in the life sciences and biotechnology sectors, currently serving as an Entrepreneur-in-Residence at Slater Technology Fund since January 2025, where evaluation of life science companies for venture investment is a key focus. As an Advisor and Limited Partner at KdT Ventures since May 2017, Isaac invests in companies utilizing computational technologies in various fields, including healthcare and agriculture. Isaac held the role of Chief Executive Officer at Octagon Therapeutics, overseeing early financing and partnerships with major pharmaceutical firms, and contributed as a co-founder, president, and COO. Additionally, Isaac was a co-founder and expedition leader for Operation Thonapa, a project dedicated to investigating a historical plane crash. Past experiences include leadership roles at PureTech Health and the Martin Trust Center for MIT Entrepreneurship, along with positions at Action Potential Venture Capital, Firefly BioWorks, Ion Torrent Systems, and Genome Corp. Isaac holds a Bachelor of Science in Biomedical Engineering from Brown University and an MBA in Entrepreneurship and Innovation from MIT Sloan School of Management.

More than two decades ago, Slater launched a platform for seed-stage investing in Rhode Island; today, the organization remains the most active seed-stage investor in the state. Slater has invested in hundreds of technology ventures in the region, achieving multiple exits while also generating economic impact returns in the form of high-wage jobs.
