Expert Build Engineer at Sledgehammer Games

Kieran Fitzpatrick has a diverse work experience spanning over several years. Kieran began their career as a Shop Assistant at Woolworths Limited from April 2004 to April 2010. Kieran then embarked on an internship as an Intern Software Engineer at ALLBIDS.com.au, where they gained experience in project management, business analysis, and web development using ASP.Net Razor, C#, SQL, Javascript, HTML, and CSS from February 2014 to June 2014.

Kieran also worked as an Undergraduate Research Assistant at Michigan State University for a brief period from August 2014 to October 2014. During this time, they utilized SQL queries and statistical analysis techniques to extract valuable information from a corporate social network, conducted network analysis using NodeXL, and developed custom tools for synthesizing keyword patterns through natural language processing.

Following their research role, Kieran joined ALLBIDS.com.au as a Web Developer from November 2014 to February 2015. In this capacity, they contributed to web development projects.

Kieran then transitioned to the Australian Public Service in February 2015, where they started as an IT Graduate. Kieran underwent intensive development and training, acquiring skills in ministerial writing, requirements management, PRINCE2, ITIL v3, mentoring, and strategic policy. Throughout their tenure, Kieran engaged in various roles, including Project Support in business analysis, enterprise architecture, and project management. Kieran also participated in IT software engineering projects, including DevOps, analysis, and research. Additionally, they were involved in testing, program analysis, and stakeholder engagement.

Kieran's last known role was as an Expert Build Engineer at Sledgehammer Games from February 2022. Their responsibilities in this position included enabling continuous integration and delivery for Call of Duty, enhancing and maintaining the company's in-house CI/CD system Compass and associated toolchain, and developing automated and semi-automated systems to accelerate and enhance integration and build processes.

Kieran Fitzpatrick completed their Bachelor's degree in Software Engineering and Business Informatics at the University of Canberra from 2011 to 2014. During their time there, they studied Information Systems, Software Engineering, and Applied Software Engineering. In 2014, they participated in a Short Term Study Abroad program at Michigan State University, focusing on Big Data and Social Network Analysis.

In terms of additional certifications, Kieran obtained the Java Programming certification from DDLS in July 2016. In June 2016, they also achieved the GIAC Security Essentials Certification (GSEC) from GIAC. Prior to that, in October 2015, they obtained the PRINCE2 Foundation Certificate in Project Management from AXELOS Global Best Practice. In the same month, they also completed a Short Course in Digital Forensics at Charles Sturt University. Additionally, in September 2015, they obtained the ITIL Foundation Certificate in IT Service from AXELOS Global Best Practice.
