Nan Wei, PhD, has extensive work experience in the field of video game development and simulation. They started their career as a Programmer at Victorian Space Science Education Centre in 2012, where they developed a 3D web-based educational game. Subsequently, they worked as a Projector Manager/Lead Programmer at the same organization. In 2014, Nan Wei joined Wicked Witch Software as a Video Game Programmer, focusing on cross-platform game development and physics simulation. In 2016, they worked as an Augmented Reality Engineer at Zero One Animation. From 2010 to 2020, Nan Wei worked as a Teaching Assistant and PhD Candidate at La Trobe University, specializing in dynamic physics simulation in real-time games. Currently, Nan Wei is employed as a Gameplay System Engineer at Sledgehammer Games, where they are responsible for the design and implementation of gameplay systems for AAA titles.

From 2007 to 2009, Nan Wei attended La Trobe University and successfully earned a Bachelor of Computer Science in Games Technology with First Class Honours. During this time, Nan Wei focused on studying subjects such as computer science, computer graphics, and game design. Following this, Nan Wei pursued further academic achievements and enrolled at La Trobe University once again, this time from 2010 to 2020, to pursue a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Computer Science.
