Paul Bennett

Lead UI Engineer at Sledgehammer Games

Paul Bennett has a diverse work experience, starting in 2007 with Forget About Agents Ltd. where they developed a website for buying and selling property privately. From 2008 to 2009, they worked as a freelance developer, specializing in low-cost website design and development projects and WordPress theme design.

In 2009, Paul joined eDigitalResearch Limited as an Application Support Developer, where they developed online communities and designed online surveys for major UK clients. Paul then moved on to Honest Ideas in 2011, initially working as a Web Developer and later as a Senior Web Developer. At Honest Ideas, they developed B2B and B2C websites for various clients and implemented development processes, including Git, as well as wrote project processes and client documentation.

In 2013, Paul joined Jagex as a Senior Web Developer, working on the RuneScape Companion web and mobile apps. Paul was responsible for integrating and presenting live data provided over Web Sockets. Paul also worked as a Game Engine Developer, contributing to the development of Chronicle: RuneScape Legends from initial green-light to full commercial launch.

Paul joined Ubisoft Toronto in 2016, initially as a UI Programmer, where they implemented UI features for HUDs and menus. In 2018, they became a Team Lead Programmer, managing a team of UI Programmers across multiple studios and ensuring the delivery of high-quality UI for Far Cry 6. Paul worked closely with various teams and stakeholders to align expectations and deliver support where needed.

Currently, Paul is working at Sledgehammer Games as a Lead UI Engineer, starting in 2021.

Paul Bennett attended the University of Southampton from 2006 to 2008, where they pursued a degree in Computer Science. Prior to their time at the university, they also attended Gillingham School, but no specific degree or field of study information is provided.
