Rich Degenhardt has a diverse work experience in the gaming and simulation industry. Rich began their career in 2010 as a Graduate Research/Software Developer at Virtual Soldier Research, where they worked until 2014. During this time, they gained experience in research and software development.
In 2014, they joined Cyber-Anatomy Corp. as a Simulation Engineer, where they worked until September of that year. Rich then joined Virtual Soldier Research again as an Associate Research Scientist, where they stayed until February 2015.
From March to November 2015, Rich worked at Neo PLM Inc. as a Product Developer.
In November 2015, they joined Rockstar Games as a Senior Animation UI Programmer, a role they held for nearly six years until January 2021.
Currently, Rich Degenhardt is working as a Senior Tools Engineer at Sledgehammer Games, a position they started in January 2021.
Rich Degenhardt completed their education at the University of Iowa, where they pursued a Bachelor of Science in Engineering (BSE) in Electrical Engineering from 2007 to 2011. Rich then went on to pursue a Master of Science in Engineering (MSE) in Computer Engineering from 2011 to 2014, still at the University of Iowa.
