Allan Young

Allan Young has extensive work experience in various roles within the supply chain and logistics industry. Allan currently holds the position of National Warehouse and Distribution Manager at Sleeman Breweries Ltd. Prior to this, Allan worked at Flanagan Foodservice Inc. as a Demand Planning Manager, where they improved fill rate and inventory turns and led continuous improvement projects. Allan also served as an Operations Manager at VersaCold Logistics Services, where they achieved EBITDA targets and established a positive working relationship with union members. Allan's earlier experience includes managerial roles at Tim Hortons, where they led teams responsible for distribution engineering, demand planning, and warehouse operations. Allan was involved in various projects, including the implementation of SAP/APO, warehouse expansion, and LEAN initiatives. Allan's career began as a Shipping Clerk and Order Selector, where they demonstrated skills in order selection, inventory replenishment, and process improvement. Allan Young obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree in Urban and Regional Planning from Ryerson University, where they studied from 1988 to 1991. In 2012, they pursued further education at the Logistics Institute, where they completed a Lean Green Belt - Supply Chain Management program.
