Richard Shane, Ph.D. has over 40 years of experience in the field of sleep and insomnia treatment. Richard is the founder and Chief Medical Officer of Sleep Easy, a clinically-proven sleep solution that helps individuals and companies improve their sleep quality. Richard developed the Sleep Easy Method over the course of 20 years and has converted it into an app, an online 6-week program, and offers one-on-one sessions. Prior to founding Sleep Easy, Dr. Richard Shane founded and managed Sleep Easily, where they developed a medication-free method to resolve insomnia. Richard also created a product consisting of four CDs and a Sleep Guide to help individuals learn and use this method on their own.

Richard Shane, Ph.D. obtained their Ph.D. in Health and Human Services from Columbia Pacific University, where they studied from 1988 to 1991. Prior to that, they earned their M.A. in Psychology from the New School For Social Research from 1975 to 1977. Richard completed their undergraduate studies at Rutgers University, obtaining a B.A. in Psychology from 1968 to 1972.
