Sharon Danoff-Burg, PhD has over 20 years of work experience in research and academia. Sharon began their career in 1995 as a Clinical Intern at Dartmouth-Hitchcock. In 1997, they became a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at The Graduate Center, City University of New York (CUNY). In 1999, they joined University at Albany as an Assistant Professor of Psychology, eventually becoming Associate Professor of Psychology and Director of Graduate Studies in Psychology. In 2011, they became Program Director, SDSU/UCSD Cancer Center Comprehensive Partnership at UC San Diego Health System. In 2015, they were a Research Fellow at New Knowledge Organization Ltd. In 2016, they became a Market Research Analyst at Action Research. Most recently, they have been a Senior Research Scientist and Senior Principal Research Scientist at SleepScore Labs since 2017.
Sharon Danoff-Burg, PhD obtained their Bachelor's Degree in Anthropology and Psychology from the University of Michigan. Sharon then obtained their Master's Degree in Clinical Psychology (Specialty: Health Psychology) from The University of Kansas, followed by their Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Clinical Psychology (Specialty: Health Psychology) from the same university. Sharon is also a Licensed Clinical Psychologist in New York State.
