Adam Doughman

Adam is an accomplished and experienced lawyer specialising in industrial and employment law across multiple Australian jurisdictions.

As a member of SLF Lawyers’ national workplace relations team, Adam provides strategic, tailored and cost-conscious employment law advice to a wide range of clients from individuals to publicly listed companies, adopting a pragmatic, collaborative approach enjoyed by his clients.

Adam regularly drafts employment contracts, workplace policies, advises on and drafts enterprise bargaining agreements, advises on work, health and safety, provides advice on award and other employer obligations, and assists with the resolution of employment disputes. He also has extensive litigation experience with respect to breaches of post-employment obligations including the enforcement of restrictive covenants.

Adam studied at Macquarie University and Western Sydney University and was admitted as a solicitor of the Supreme Court of New South Wales in 2009. He has worked in boutique employment law practices, as part of national multi-disciplinary practices, and in an in-house role with a major national broadcaster.

Beyond his professional commitments, Adam is a sports tragic and is not averse to discussions on the taboo subject of politics.
