Shao-Ting Huang

Shao-Ting Huang has a diverse work experience. Shao-Ting currently works as an Application & Technical Sales Engineer at Slice Engineering, starting in February 2023. Previously, they served as an Advisor & Investor at Mattrix Technologies starting in July 2022.

From August 2020, Huang worked as the President of Overhang Lab LLC where they developed business strategies, conducted product testing, and attended conferences to expand the network reach.

In August 2020, they joined Aqua Hill Aeration, Inc as a Mechanical Engineer. Here, they iterated large-pond aerator prototypes to enable mass production, designed components using cost-effective manufacturing methods, and tested aerator prototypes.

Starting in August 2018, Huang held multiple roles at Purdue University, including Student Leader for the Purdue Electric Vehicle Grand Prix, Design Lead and Mechanical Lead for the Purdue Autonomy Team, and President and Chief Engineer for the Purdue Electric Vehicle Club. Through these roles, they managed teams, oversaw progress, and designed and fabricated mechanical components for various projects.

In January 2019, Huang co-founded Make A Thing Inc., where they served as CEO, President, and Co-founder. Shao-Ting oversaw company operations, interviewed developers, managed relationships with mentors, and established the brand image.

From October 2017, Huang worked as a Teaching Assistant at the Bechtel Innovation Design Center, where they mentored users on various manufacturing tools and provided input for part design on projects.

Lastly, they served in various roles at the Taiwanese Student Association at Purdue University from August 2017 to May 2019, organizing events, advising incoming officers, and conducting outreach to sister organizations.

Overall, Huang has gained extensive experience in technical sales, investment advisory, business development, mechanical engineering, team management, and event coordination through their various roles.
