Owen Bossola has a long and varied work experience. In 2016, they co-founded Slides. From 2013 to 2016, they were the VP of Engineering at Capture Media, Inc. From 2009 to 2013, they were an Advisor and Director of Engineering at Qwiki, where they managed a product, design and engineering team of 12+ to two acclaimed product releases. Owen was also Lead Developer at Qwiki, where they lead development on Qwiki "Reference" and managed the full web stack, web operations and the iPad application. From 2008 to 2009, they were a Freelance Full Stack Engineer. In 2007, they were a Photographer's Assistant at Little Bear, where they assisted with all aspects of photography from lens to print including lighting, loading cameras, sorting contacts and magazine layouts. Owen also edited a set of short films for W Magazine. In 2007, they were also Technical Director at Thrillist, where they designed and developed a streamlined CMS for the management and delivery of daily emails including a custom front-end for editorial submissions. In 2006, they were Web Administrator and Developer at WallStrip.com, where they built a destination site in WordPress with a custom CMS to scrape statistical data for video content. In 2005, they were a Space Systems Engineer at ITT Space Systems Division, where they developed applications using VB and Java to run acceptance tests on space-class hardware and derived performance tests of wireless-based network simulations using MATLAB.
Owen Bossola obtained their Bachelor of Engineering in Computer Engineering from Stevens Institute of Technology between 2001 and 2005. Owen then went on to receive their Master of Engineering in Electrical Engineering from the same institution between 2004 and 2005.
