Danielle Boekel-Charles

Danielle Boekel-Charles has a rich and diverse work experience spanning over two decades. Danielle currently works as a Content Writer at Sling & Stone since 2022. Prior to that, they founded Solaria Content & Communications in 2019 and served as the Writer-in-Chief.

Danielle also has extensive experience working at Polycom, where they held various roles from 2012 to 2019. Their roles included being a Regional Campaign Program & Content Manager, Asia Pacific, and a Senior Corporate Communications Specialist. In these positions, they were responsible for developing compelling copy for campaigns, managing marketing assets, executing internal marketing communications, and supporting regional campaign management.

Before joining Polycom, Danielle worked at Doosan Power Systems as a Global Publications Manager and Corporate Communication Officer, contributing to internal and external communications efforts, managing intranet content, designing collateral, and coordinating internal team news.

Danielle also gained experience at Goldman Sachs as a Crisis Management Analyst and at the Foundation for Co-Existence as a Corporate Communications Executive. In these roles, they focused on crisis management and providing PR and communication support to the organizations.

Danielle began their career as a Junior Staff Reporter at Upali Newspapers (Pvt.) Ltd., where they underwent journalism training and reported on various political events. Danielle also worked as a Freelance Copywriter during this time.

Danielle has consistently demonstrated their ability to create compelling content, manage campaigns, coordinate internal and external communications, and contribute to the success of the organizations they have worked for.

Danielle Boekel-Charles began their education in 2000 at the Melbourne Institute of Business & Technology, where they pursued a Diploma in Mass Communication. Danielle completed this program in 2001. Following this, they attended RMIT University from 2001 to 2004 and earned a Bachelor's degree in Professional Communications.

In terms of additional certifications, Danielle obtained a CELTA (Certificate in Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages) from the University of Cambridge, through the British Council in Singapore, in May 2022. Danielle also completed a Marketing Writing Bootcamp from MarketingProfs in 2018.
