Dylan C. Kesler

Dylan C. Kesler is currently working as the Director of Data Science and AI at Slingshot Aerospace, where they are responsible for identifying AI and ML opportunities and solutions for space-related challenges. They also lead a science team and guide organizational change through M&A activities. Prior to this, Dylan worked at Benson Hill as the Director of Data Science, where they developed predictive systems based on machine learning and AI. They also built and directed a team working on multiple platforms and collaborated with internal and external partners. Before Benson Hill, Dylan held the position of Senior Research Data Scientist at Benson Hill, where they developed molecular breeding platforms and oversaw data science projects. They have also worked as a Lead Data Scientist at Vertebrate Systems LLC, Assistant Professor at the University of Missouri, Postdoctoral Fellow at Virginia Tech, Ecologist at the U.S. Geological Survey (USGS), and Wildlife Biologist at the Colorado River Indian Tribes.

Dylan C. Kesler earned a Bachelor's Degree from the University of Missouri-Columbia from 1990 to 1995. Afterward, they pursued a Master's degree at Oregon State University from 1998 to 2001. Dylan C. furthered their education at Oregon State University, where they obtained a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) degree from 2001 to 2005.
