Daixuan Zhang

Daixuan Zhang has a diverse work experience in the field of scientific research. They are currently working as a Scientist II at Slingshot Biosciences since May 2023. Prior to this, they worked as a Scientist at Slingshot Biosciences from September 2021 to May 2023. They also served as a Graduate Research Assistant at Sheiko Lab - University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill from March 2017 to August 2021, where they pursued a Ph.D. and conducted research under Dr. Sheiko. Additionally, Daixuan worked as a Teaching Assistant at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill from 2016 to 2019. They gained experience as a Research Assistant at the Institute of Chemistry - Chinese Academy of Sciences from September 2014 to May 2016, where they focused on surface functionalizing on elastomer surfaces using ink-jet printing for various applications. They also worked as a Research Assistant at the University of Science and Technology of China from June 2012 to May 2013.

Daixuan Zhang's education history begins in 2010 when they enrolled at the University of Science and Technology of China to pursue a Bachelor of Science degree in Material Chemistry. This program lasted until 2014. Following this, from 2014 to 2016, Zhang attended the Institute of Chemistry, Chinese Academy of Sciences as a Master of Science candidate in Materials Science. They then proceeded to pursue a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree in Material Sciences at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill from 2016 to 2021.

In addition to their formal education, Zhang obtained a certification in Injection Molding Professional at Routsis Training in June 2021. This certification is classified as Level 1.
