William Hyun

William (Bill) Hyun is a seasoned scientist at UCSF with over 25 years of experience, including 23 years as Director of the Laboratory for Cell Analysis and currently serving as Director of the Lab for Advanced Cytometry and the Sony Biotechnology Center. In addition to academic roles, Hyun is a Venture Partner at Genoa Ventures, where investment focuses on innovative life sciences, and has co-founded Fluent BioSciences Inc. as a Board Member, contributing to the development of genomic partitioning technology. Other board positions include Slingshot Biosciences, Akadeum Life Sciences, and Scribe Biosciences, all aimed at advancing research and development across various biotechnological fields. Hyun also serves in advisory roles for CellFE and Applaud Medical, further enhancing expertise in gene editing and innovative medical treatments, backed by a Master’s degree in Biochemistry from The George Washington University School of Medicine and Health Sciences.
