Marian Knezek

Marian Knezek has an extensive work experience spanning several industries and roles. Starting in 2003, Marian worked as a Freelance Instructor for KVT - Kurzy Vzdelavanie Treningy, s.r.o., where they provided training in C programming language and C++ oriented object-oriented programming. Marian also offered consultations on mid-sized projects and deployed solutions for clients.

In 2007, Marian worked as a Scientific Researcher at the Faculty of Informatics and Information Technologies, Slovak University of Technology. Their research focused on software engineering, ontological relations, semantic web, and intelligent search of the web and grid computing.

From 2009 to 2019, Marian served as a Freelance Instructor and Consultant at GOPAS SR, a.s. Marian provided advanced networking courses, specialized in network design, security, high availability, and advanced system administration of UNIX/Linux. As a consultant, they audited existing solutions and provided independent consulting to large corporations.

In 2009, Marian also worked briefly as a Network Engineer at S&T.

Moving forward, they worked as a Team Leader at PMMD, Ltd. from 2015 to 2016, leading a team and overseeing projects.

In 2010, Marian briefly served as a PQA Engineer at Hitachi, responsible for product quality assurance in specialized power plant products. Marian gained knowledge of Japanese labor deployment and methods for producing solutions of "Japanese quality."

From 2006 to 2014, Marian held the position of Head of IT Department at Babyland, Ltd., where they were directly responsible for deploying new technologies and software systems.

Starting in 2016, Marian joined Slovakodata as the Chief Technology Officer for Finscreener.com, primarily focusing on project management of cloud-based web services programmed in Java EE and PHP. Marian followed methodologies like PRINCE and SCRUM during project management.

Lastly, from 2020 to 2022, Marian worked as a Network Architect at MOVYS, a.s., specializing in network architecture.

Throughout their career, Marian has received honors such as Lecturer of the Year in 2012 and 2013. Marian has demonstrated expertise in various fields, including software engineering, networking, and project management.

Marian Knezek obtained a Dipl. Engineer (Masters Level) degree in Computer Engineering from the Slovak University of Technology from 2006 to 2011. Prior to that, they studied Mathematics & Informatics at Gymnázium Ladislava Novomeského from 2002 to 2006. Marian also holds multiple certifications, including CCDA, CCDP, LPIC-3, SUSE CLA, CCNP, CCNA, LPIC-2, LPIC-1, and MPS.
