Emily Herrera currently serves in early-stage investing roles at Slow Ventures and Night Ventures since February 2024 and from 2022 to 2024, respectively. Additionally, Emily holds the position of Co-Director at the Center for Creator Policy and Research and is a Fellow at Interact, both starting in 2024. As the founder of The Wiress, a women's student-startup network established in June 2019, Emily is focused on exploring technology through the perspectives of younger women. Previous experience includes roles as an investor at Harlem Capital in 2022, a venture partner at Contrary from 2020 to 2022, a venture fellow at Republic for a part of 2021, and conducting R&D at NBC News during 2021. Emily earned degrees in Computer Science and Journalism, with a minor in Digital Methods in the Humanities, from Northeastern University and completed the S.I.P program in Computer Science at Girls Who Code in 2015.
