Alastair Middleton

Alastair Middleton is a seasoned professional in the mining advisory sector, currently serving as Managing Principal Consultant at SLR Consulting since November 2020. Prior experience includes roles in natural resources advisory at Africa Merchant Capital, Non-Executive Director at Thor Mining PLC, and Technical Director at Metal Tiger. A long tenure at Standard Bank followed, where Alastair held the positions of Technical Advisor and Director for eight years. Alastair's career began in exploration and mining geology at Goldfields of South Africa, and extensive experience was gained as Principal Mining Consultant and General Manager at Datamine. Alastair holds a Master of Science in Mineral Exploration from the Royal School of Mines, Imperial College London, as well as a Bachelor of Science with Honours in Earth Sciences from Oxford Poly.
