Balaji Subrahmanyan

Balaji Subrahmanyan is an accomplished mining engineering professional with extensive experience across various reputable companies. Currently serving as a Principal Mining Engineer at SLR Consulting since July 2021, Balaji specializes in NI-43101 technical reports and feasibility studies. Prior to this, Balaji held the position of Principal Mining Consultant at RPMGlobal, leading a significant operational integration project in Nevada to enhance performance through connected systems. Balaji's previous roles include Regional Head of Mining at GOLD FIELDS, where responsibilities included driving growth through ROI evaluations and project feasibility studies, as well as Specialist Mining Engineer at Rio Tinto Iron Ore, focusing on mining schedule development and design criteria. Balaji also has a solid foundation in open pit operations optimization from Newcrest Mining and held various roles in earlier companies that contributed to a broad engineering acumen. Educational qualifications include a Bachelor of Engineering in Mining Engineering from Anna University Chennai and a Master of Science in Software Systems from Birla Institute of Technology and Science, Pilani.
