Derek Benton

Derek Benton is an accomplished professional with extensive experience in diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) management, leadership development, and consultancy. Currently serving as the Global Diversity, Equity & Inclusion Manager at SLR Consulting since August 2022, Derek also acts as an Activator at DNA Light Up, focusing on transformational personal journeys. Prior roles include Executive Assistant to the CEO at Green Man Festival, Partner at Benton & Shergill, Senior Manager of Diversity & Inclusion at KPMG UK, and HR Manager at The Boston Consulting Group. Derek's career began at IBM United Kingdom Ltd, where various roles culminated in the position of Diversity Programme Manager. Educational qualifications include a BVC in Law from BPP Law School, a GDL/CPE in Law from the University of Westminster, and a MusB Hons in Music from The University of Manchester.
