Matthew Whittle

Matthew Whittle is a Senior Data Scientist at SLR Consulting, where leadership and technology development are focused on leveraging machine learning to address client sustainability challenges within the Geospatial team. Before joining SLR Consulting in September 2023, Matthew was with Jacobs from April 2017 to September 2023, contributing as a Senior Data Scientist and playing a vital role in the Digital Strategy Team while leading data science community initiatives. Previous positions at Jacobs included Senior Ecologist, where ecological data science and software engineering expertise were integrated, and Deputy Team Lead for the Anglian Water Strategic Pipeline Alliance’s Habitats team. Early career experience included roles as an Ecologist and an Assistant Ecologist at Total Ecology. Matthew holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Zoology/Animal Biology from Newcastle University.
