Aswin Annamalai

Ashwin Annamalai's work experience includes:

- Senior Software Engineer at Slync.io since March 2021.

- Teaching Assistant at the University of Waterloo, where they taught CS446 - Software Design and Architecture and helped non-CS students learn concepts of Python programming in course CS116 from 2019 to 2020.

- Founder of Deducely from January 2016 to January 2019. Successfully bootstrapped a 3 person team and built a crawling engine that crawled 5 billion webpages weekly to create datasets containing framework and tools used by websites worldwide. These datasets can be leveraged by marketing teams to increase revenue and by AI companies to offer better predictions.

- Product Developer at Freshdesk Inc. from June 2014 to December 2015. Worked on the CART team to build software applications for customers to facilitate seamless migration of data into Freshdesk from other helpdesk systems.

- Tech Columnist at Deccan Chronicle Holdings Ltd from July 2013 to May 2015.

Ashwin Annamalai completed their Master's degree in Computer Science at the University of Waterloo from 2019 to 2020. Prior to that, they pursued their undergraduate studies at Thiagarajar College of Engineering, graduating with a B.Tech degree in Information Technology from 2010 to 2014. Additionally, they obtained a Business English Certification (BEC) from the University of Cambridge in September 2012.
