Richard A. Jenkins

In January 2023, Mr. Jenkins was appointed Vice President – Operations for the Company. Mr. Jenkins joined the Company in January 2010 as a Reservoir Engineer focused on the Midland Basin. Since then, Mr. Jenkins took on roles of increasing responsibility expanding to exploration, business development, and most recently as the Field Manager of the Company’s Midland Basin assets focused on production operations, engineering, water management, and ESG.

Mr. Jenkins has more than 17 years of experience in the energy industry. Prior to joining SM Energy, Mr. Jenkins was with Chevron Corporation in roles that included production engineering, completion engineering, and reservoir engineering in conventional and unconventional fields across the Permian Basin.

Mr. Jenkins received a B.S. in Petroleum and Natural Gas Engineering from Penn State University.
