Susie Piehl

In January 2023, Ms. Piehl was appointed Vice President – Human Resources for the Company. Ms. Piehl joined SM Energy in 2009 as a Human Resources professional. Ms. Piehl was promoted to various management positions since that time, broadening her areas of responsibility to include talent management and development, and oversight of the Company’s retirement plans. Ms. Piehl was Sr. Director – Human Resources from 2018 through 2022.

Ms. Piehl brings more than 35 years of experience in human resources, communications, and leadership to her new role.

Ms. Piehl earned a BA in English and German from Bowdoin College.
