Tammy Mayes has a diverse work experience spanning over several years. Tammy began their career in 1982 at Hays Utility Services Inc., where they held various positions until 1989. Tammy then worked at Gibraltar Chemical Resources Inc. as a Records Supervisor from 1990 to 1993. From 1994 to 1997, they served as the Office Manager/Bookkeeper at Burton & Elledge Engineers Inc. Tammy then worked as a Bookkeeper at Texas Pump & Water Services Inc. from 1998 to 1999. Tammy briefly served as a Disposal Services Representative at Clean Harbors Environmental Services Inc. from 1999 to 2000. Tammy worked as a Bookkeeper/Financial Secretary at Colonial Hills Baptist Church from 2000 to 2002. Following that, they worked at Cameron Area Chamber of Commerce as a Bookkeeper/Administrative Assistant from 2002 to 2003. From 2003 to 2011, they held the position of Director of Revenue Operations at Metro Traffic, a Clear Channel Company. Tammy then moved to Municipal Accounts & Consulting, where they worked as an Accounting Specialist from February 2012 to June 2013 and as a Senior Accounting Specialist from July 2013 to February 2014. In 2014, they joined SMA Technologies and served in various roles, including Financial Analyst & HR Administrator, Finance/HR Manager, and Operations & Administrative Manager.

Tammy Mayes has a diverse education history. In 1980, they attended Tyler Junior College and completed an Associates Degree in Real Estate Management and Accounting, which they completed in 1982. In 2012, they received budget training and investment training from Municipal Accounts & Consulting. More recently, in 2013, they enrolled in Municipal Accounts & Consulting LP for bond sales training, and they are currently pursuing this field of study.
