Jose Sumangil

Jose "Ed" Sumangil is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in government relations and military operations. Currently serving as Director of Government Relations at Small Business Consulting Corporation since September 2023, Sumangil previously held notable positions within the United States Department of the Air Force, including Chief of the Secretary of the Air Force Senate Liaison Office, where leadership of a 7-member team was undertaken to enhance alignment with Congressional stakeholders. Additional roles include Executive Officer to the Vice Chief of Staff of the Air Force, Wing Commander of the 7th Bomb Wing, Senior Military Fellow at both the Institute for National Strategic Studies and Stanford University, and policy advisor at the Office of the Secretary of Defense for Middle East Policy.
