Zachary Davis

Small Business Council Member at Small Business Majority

Zachary Davis has extensive work experience in various roles and industries. Zachary co-founded and served as CEO of The Glass Jar, Inc. from 2009. In 2010, they became the owner and co-founder of The Penny Ice Creamery, a popular ice cream shop in Santa Cruz. The following year, they also co-founded and owned The Picnic Basket, a café that focuses on local ingredients. In 2011, they became a Small Business Council Member for Small Business Majority, a national small business advocacy organization.

Furthermore, Zachary served as a Board Member for the Santa Cruz Area Chamber of Commerce from 2018 and as a Council Member for the Santa Cruz County Economic Recovery Council from 2020. Zachary also joined the Downtown Association of Santa Cruz as a Board Member and Vice-Chair in 2020. Additionally, they became a Board Member for the Santa Cruz County Conference & Visitors Council in 2022.

Alongside these roles, Zachary has been involved in various other positions, including Commissioner for the Santa Cruz Downtown Commission with the City of Santa Cruz since 2012, where they advise on parking and business improvement district matters. Throughout their career, Zachary Davis has demonstrated a commitment to entrepreneurship, community development, and small business advocacy.

Zachary Davis completed their Bachelor of Arts degree from the Jackson School of International Studies at the University of Washington. Zachary attended the university from 1995 to 2000 and focused their studies on the field of Comparative Religion.

After their undergraduate studies, Zachary pursued further education and obtained a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree from Dominican University of California. Zachary specialized in the field of Sustainable Enterprise during their time at the university, attending from 2006 to 2009.
