Game Artist at Small Giant Games

Johanna Marsch has a diverse work experience in the field of game art and illustration. Johanna is currently working as a Game Artist at Small Giant Games since 2022. Previously, they worked at Veikkaus Oy as a Principle Game Artist, where they were involved in an unannounced project and performed project management, 2D/3D game art, and game design. Johanna also worked as a Game Artist at Veikkaus Game Studio, creating concepts and assets for games and other projects, participating in game design, and collaborating with programmers to ensure the quality and efficiency of assets.

Before joining Veikkaus Oy, Johanna worked as a Freelance Marketing Artist at Musopia in 2017, supporting marketing efforts through various art tasks. Johanna also gained experience at RedLynx, a Ubisoft Studio, where they started as a Marketing Artist Trainee and later worked as a Junior 2D Artist, creating social media assets and collaborating with different Ubisoft studios and external companies.

Prior to their game art roles, Johanna worked as a Freelance Artist from 2011 to 2013, creating traditional and digital art, and as a Freelance Illustrator at UNION Mobile in 2012. Johanna also served as a Cover Artist for ACTION LAB ENTERTAINMENT in 2012, designing and executing cover art for the comic "Shinobi, Ninja Princess" vol. 3.

Johanna's earlier experiences include working as a Sales Clerk at Punnitse&Säästä from 2007 to 2011 and as a Gallery Assistant at Galleria BE'19, a prestigious art gallery specializing in online exhibitions and artotheque.

Johanna began their professional journey as an Artist at The Finnish Science Fiction and Fantasy Writers Association from 2004 to 2006.
