Scott Kidder has a diverse work experience spanning several industries. Scott started their career in 2003 as an intern at WBAL-TV/Hearst Broadcasting and later worked as a Technology Support Specialist at Gilman School. Scott then joined New York University as a Desktop Support Technician in 2003. In 2005, they interned at ABC News, where they performed various duties related to newsmagazines.

In 2005, Scott joined Gawker, initially as a Manager in Finance and Business Development. Over the years, they took on increasing responsibilities, becoming the VP of Operations/Chief Operating Officer in 2012. During their time at Gawker, they oversaw finance, operations, and special projects, contributing to its growth as a global business. Scott also led the finance team, enhancing reporting and internal controls.

Scott's next role was as a Consulting COO at Hype Machine, a music discovery startup. Scott advised the Founder & CEO on various business aspects and oversaw the profitability and loss of Hype Hotel events at SXSW.

In 2016, Scott joined The Points Guy as the Chief Operating Officer. Scott played a crucial role in transforming TPG from a points and miles blog into a lifestyle media brand with over 10 million monthly readers. Scott oversaw revenue, partnerships, technology, marketing, data, and analytics. Additionally, they served as the primary liaison with the parent company for finance and people operations.

In 2018, Scott took on the role of Man of Leisure before becoming a Contract COO/CFO at their own company in 2019. Currently, they are working as a Consulting COO at Small Girls PR, where they provide strategic guidance and support.

Throughout their career, Scott Kidder has demonstrated expertise in finance, operations, business development, and strategic planning. From their early entrepreneurial venture with Skidder Networks to their diverse experiences in media and technology companies, they have showcased strong leadership and business acumen.

Scott Kidder received their High School Diploma from Gilman School in 2003. Scott then went on to attend New York University from 2003 to 2007, where they obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree in the field of Convergence of Traditional and New Media.
