Sebastian van Wickern

Sebastian van Wickern is an experienced executive in the fields of smart devices and Internet of Things solutions. Currently serving as CEO of smart IoT since April 2020, Sebastian leads efforts in hardware and firmware development, as well as enabling connectivity between devices, apps, and cloud services, all produced in Germany. Prior to this role, Sebastian was CEO of BLE-Solutions from June 2017 to April 2020 and Managing Director of BLE Consulting from April 2014 to June 2017, where expertise in Bluetooth Low Energy consulting and implementations was provided to notable clients like Roche Diabetes Care GmbH and DOM Sicherheitstechnik GmbH & Co. Earlier experience includes a position as a Java/J2EE Developer at Hoesch Bausysteme GmbH / ThyssenKrupp Steel Europe AG from October 2011 to March 2014. Sebastian's educational background includes a degree in Informationstechnischer Assistent, Informatik from RWTH Aachen University and ongoing studies at thePower since September 2021.
