Venugopal Sampathkumar

Venugopal Sampathkumar is an experienced professional currently serving as the Lead of Strategy & Partnerships at Smart Joules since March 2023. Previously, Venugopal held the position of Chief Executive Officer at Energyhive from July 2014 to May 2023, where efforts were focused on helping high-energy consumers save energy and reduce costs through sustainable solutions, with notable clients including Coca-Cola and Asahi Glass. Prior to this, Venugopal worked as a Consultant at Energy Alternatives India from September 2011 to July 2014, engaging in portfolio design and market entry strategies in renewable energy. Venugopal began a career at Tata Consultancy Services as an Assistant Systems Engineer in the retail domain from August 2008 to April 2010. Venugopal holds a B.E. in Electronics & Communication from the College of Engineering, Guindy, and has further education from the CFA Institute.
