Guilherme Sombrio

Guilherme Sombrio is an experienced Research and Development Engineer at SMART Photonics since August 2022. Previously, Guilherme held postdoctoral research fellow positions at IES - Institut d'Electronique et des Système (May 2021 - July 2022), focused on integrating semiconductor nanostructured spectral filters with infrared photodetectors, and at Technische Universität Kaiserslautern (March 2020 - April 2021), where Guilherme worked on in-situ depth control in semiconductor etching processes. Prior postdoctoral work at Universidade Federal do ABC (March 2017 - February 2020) involved research on perovskite materials for solar cells. Guilherme's educational background includes a Ph.D. in Microelectronics from the Federal University of Rio Grande do Sul, a Master's degree in Microelectronics, and a Bachelor's degree in Physics from Universidade Federal do Paraná.
