Sreevathsan Ramanathan

Sreevathsan Ramanathan is an experienced engineering professional currently serving as the Head of Test Measurement and Reliability for PIC at SMART Photonics since June 2024. Previously, Sreevathsan held multiple leadership roles at Seagate Technology from March 2013 to January 2024, including Senior Engineering Manager for Nanophotonic device engineering, where responsibilities involved managing a team of specialists, strategic planning for new test development, and capital resource planning. Sreevathsan's expertise encompasses nanophotonics and semiconductor technology, with notable accomplishments in developing unique wafer-level test solutions and leading automation projects for volume production. Sreevathsan's academic background includes a PhD from Cardiff University and an MBA focused on Circular Economy, along with degrees in Metallurgical and Materials Engineering from prestigious institutions. Sreevathsan has also contributed to industry-academia collaborations and mentored PhD students, showcasing a strong commitment to advancing the field of materials engineering and photonics.
