Tyler Huus P.e.

Tyler Huus, P.E. is an experienced mining and mineral engineering professional, currently serving as the General Manager of Mine Planning at Smart Sand, Inc. since March 2021. Previously, Tyler held positions as a Municipal Engineer at the Minnesota Pollution Control Agency, Mine Superintendent at Covia, and Mine Supervisor at Covia Corporation (formerly Unimin Corporation). Earlier roles included Plant Engineer at Unimin Corporation and Mining Engineer II at Cloud Peak Energy, where Tyler managed short-range mine planning in various operational contexts. Tyler began the professional journey as an Engineering Intern at Peabody Energy, during which surveying and project completion were key responsibilities. Tyler holds a Bachelor of Science in Mining and Mineral Engineering from Montana Technological University, earned in 2011.
