Darren Child

Darren Child has a range of work experience in various roles and industries. Darren is currently the VP of Product and Business Development at Smartaira since January 2022. Prior to this, they founded and served as the CEO of Bluerim Networks from March 2014 to January 2022, where they focused on providing internet access for multi-dwelling properties. Darren also has experience as an IT Advisory Committee Member at Bridgerland Applied Technology College since September 2017. In addition, Darren has served in technology-related roles such as a Technology Committee Member at the National Ability Center from August 2018 to October 2019, and as a Principal Wireless Engineer at Deep Canyon Group from June 2009 to February 2013, designing and implementing enterprise Wi-Fi solutions. Darren also has experience with property management as the Regional Vice President at Mountain States Property Management from March 2006 to January 2016, and as an Assistant Project Manager at Wasatch Property Management from March 2006 to June 2009. Prior to these roles, Darren worked as a Unix system admin at UTEC from May 2004 to March 2006.

Darren Child received a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Information Technology from Brigham Young University from 2000 to 2004. Darren also attended Utah State University from 1996 to 1997, although no degree or field of study is specified. In terms of certifications, they obtained the Certified Wireless Network Administrator (CWNA) certification from CWNP in March 2019 and the Cisco CCNA certification in April 2004.
