Dan Carpenter

Dan Carpenter is a seasoned journalist, editor, and poet with extensive freelance experience. Since February 2015, Dan has been contributing as a freelance writer for SmartBrief, and since January 2014, has worked as a freelance blogger for the Indianapolis Business Journal. Dan has also authored works for "Indiana Out Loud," published by the Indiana Historical Society Press, and served as a contributing writer for Sky Blue Window until May 2016. Additionally, from January 2014 to March 2015, Dan was a contributing columnist for StatehouseFile.com and spent nearly four decades as a columnist for the Indianapolis Star from November 1976 to August 2013. Dan holds a Bachelor of Arts in Journalism and English from Marquette University, earned between 1966 and 1970.
