Peter Yan

Peter Yan currently serves as the Director of Data Engineering at SmarterDx since November 2022, with previous roles including Director of Data Engineering and Data Analytics and Clinical Data Scientist at the same company. Peter has held significant positions in the medical field, including Chief of Neurology at Beth Israel Deaconess Hospital - Milton and Physician Informaticist at Beth Israel Lahey Health. With a background as a Neurologist at Harvard Medical Faculty Physicians at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center, Peter also contributed as an Instructor in Neurology at Harvard Medical School. Peter's training includes a Clinical Neurophysiology Fellowship at New York-Presbyterian Hospital, along with a Health Informatics Fellowship at Weill Cornell Medicine. Peter holds a Master of Science in Health Informatics from Cornell University and a Doctor of Medicine from Boston University School of Medicine, as well as a Bachelor of Science in Biomedical Engineering from Boston University College of Engineering, graduating Summa Cum Laude.
