Cauã Veiga

Cauã Veiga began working as a Junior Machine Learning Engineer at Smartex.ai in 2022. Prior to that, in 2021, they were a Bolseiro na Fundação para a Ciência e a Tecnologia (FCT) where they developed an automated preprocessing pipeline to handle PDS3 hyperspectral data cubes for NASA's Dawn Mission VIR-IR repository and wrote a report about the Dawn Mission, hyperspectral data analysis, and an in-depth explanation of the proposed pipeline. Cauã also worked as a Machine Learning Engineer Intern at Smartex.ai.

Cauã Veiga is currently attending the Universidade do Porto, where they are pursuing a Mestrado Integrado em Engenharia Física in the field of Engenharia Física. Cauã began their studies in 2019 and is expected to graduate in 2024. In October 2021, Veiga obtained a certification from Coursera in IBM AI Engineering Specialization.
