Rafael Galrito

Rafael Galrito has a diverse work experience in various roles and industries. Rafael is currently working as a DevOps Engineer at Smartex.ai. Prior to this, they worked at Euroclear as a Security Engineer from November 2019 to October 2021. Before that, they were with the European Commission as NUPS IAM BO from March 2019 to October 2019. Rafael also worked at Euronext and S21sec as an Access Management Analyst and Information Security Consultant, respectively, both from April 2018 to February 2019. Additionally, Rafael had an internship as an Information Security Analyst at SONAE from February 2017 to February 2018. Before entering the security field, they co-founded and worked as a web developer at eWents from November 2013 to September 2016, where they integrated APIs from various ticket sellers. In 2016, they had a DevOps traineeship at Acknowledge, where they implemented security solutions using tools like ELK and Salt Stack. Previously, they were a Lead Web Developer and Programmer at Quick Route City, contributing to the development of their website and mobile app. Their earliest experience was with InnoGames GmbH, where they served as a Team Leader for The West PT from February 2011 to December 2012.

Rafael Galrito obtained their Bachelor's degree in Information Technology from Universidade Portucalense (UPT) from 2012 to 2016. During the same period, they also pursued a Bachelor's degree in Cyber Security from Hogeschool West-Vlaanderen - Vlaamse Autonome Hogeschool. Additionally, they have obtained certifications in various fields, including "Fundamentals of Kubernetes Deployment" from Coursera in July 2021, "Angel" from Chaos Computer Club in December 2018, and "Bootcamper" from Pitch Bootcamp in March 2016.
