Jan Kadlec

Data Analyst at Smartlook

Jan Kadlec has a range of work experience in various roles and industries.

In 2006, they co-founded Beze slova, a copywriting service for small and medium enterprises, where they worked as a Head and Copywriter until 2008.

From 2010 to 2019, Jan worked at TED Conferences as an OTP Translator and Language Coordinator. Jan translated TEDTalks subtitles to Czech, provided support to the Czech community, and managed the community and trained new Language Coordinators.

In 2012, Jan also worked at Masaryk University as a Student Advisor and e-application Support, assisting students with admission processes.

From 2014 to 2014, they worked as an Online Marketing Specialist at South Moravian Innovation Centre, responsible for internet-based marketing activities.

Jan's major occupation from 2012 to 2019 was as a Copywriter, focusing on web copywriting for small businesses.

Jan further pursued their interest in web analytics and became a Web Analyst and UX Researcher from 2017 to 2022, initially working at an undisclosed company and later at Proof & Reason as a Senior Web & Data Analyst.

Jan's most recent work experience is as a Data Analyst at Smartlook, starting in October 2022.

Jan Kadlec graduated with a master's degree in Economic Policy from Masaryk University Brno, where they attended from 2009 to 2015. In 2011, Jan also participated in the Utrecht Network Summer School at Queen's University Belfast and the Summer School Take the Best from East and West at the University of Ljubljana. Jan has obtained several certifications, including Product Analytics Certification and Product-led Certification from Pendo.io in May 2023. Jan also completed various online courses, including Data Analysis, Machine Learning, Markets with Frictions, and Computing for Data Analysis on Coursera. In addition, Jan holds the Google Analytics Individual Qualification and has obtained several edX Honor Code Certificates in different areas of study.
