Juhana Nurmio

Juhana Nurmio has extensive work experience in various roles and companies. Juhana started their career as a Project Manager at Hawcon Ltd in 2009. From 2010 to 2011, they worked as a Business Development Intern at Cargotec Corporation, where they conducted market analysis and facilitated strategy workshops. In 2011, they joined Aalto University as the Coordinator of Aalto Ventures Program, responsible for managing partnerships and curriculum development. From 2012 to 2013, they served as a Board Member at Aalto Entrepreneurship Society, managing relations and cooperation with Aalto University. In 2013, they held the position of Head of Investor and Startup operations at Slush, organizing meetings between startups and investors. In 2014, they joined Mendor as a Business Unit Manager and Product Manager, leading the emerging IoT diabetes care solution business. Finally, since 2015, they have been working at Smartly.io in various roles, including Principal Product Manager and Product Director.

Juhana Nurmio attended Kauniainen High School from 2003 to 2006 and graduated with a degree in Natural Sciences. Then, from 2007 to 2012, they pursued a Bachelor of Science (Tech) in Industrial Engineering and Management at Aalto University. Juhana also briefly studied Environmental Engineering at Instituto Superior Técnico in 2011. Juhana continued their education at Aalto University, where they obtained a Master of Science (M.Sc.) in Industrial Engineering and Management from 2012 to 2015.
