Deniss Zilkins

Deniss Zilkins has a diverse work experience in the aviation industry. Deniss is currently serving as the Chief Operating Officer and Accountable Manager at SmartLynx Airlines Ltd since July 2022. Prior to this, they worked as the Director of Operations and Head of IOCC at the same company from November 2021 to August 2022.

Before SmartLynx Airlines, Deniss held the position of Director Production and NP Ground Operations at Airest AS from November 2018 to December 2021. Deniss also worked at Primera Air, where they had various roles including Director Network Control Center/NCC, Network Control Center Manager, and Flight Support Manager from November 2014 to October 2018.

In 2013, Deniss worked as a Senior Flight Dispatcher at Qatar Executive. Prior to that, they gained experience in SmartLynx Airlines as a Performance Engineer and Flight Dispatcher from April 2012 to November 2013.

Deniss also has experience working at airBaltic as a Flight coordinator/Flight OPS, North Hub Services as a Flight coordinator/Ramp agent, and the Latvian Air Force in the Air Surveillance Squadron, contributing to their extensive knowledge and background in the aviation industry.

Deniss Zilkins earned a Bachelor's degree in Air Traffic Controller from Riga Aeronautical Institute in 2008. Prior to that, from 2003 to 2008, they attended Latvian Military Academy where they studied to become an Air Force officer. Later, from 2009 to 2011, Deniss pursued a Master's degree in Air Transport from the Aviation Institute of Riga Technical University.
